I added some new plants to my room around my tank today. Now I just need to get them some nice looking pots :-) Got them for $10 a piece, so I couldn't pass them up.

I like it!

How are the fish and those hitchhiker LPS doing? And that anemone? With such a deep tank it'd be interesting to see how the photosynthetic things are reacting.

The lps hasn't gotten any growth at all. My anemone seems to be doing great. Today I fed him some fresh chopped shrimp and it seemed to love it. I haven't had the anemone long enough to tell if it's had any significant growth. However, in the picture that I'm posting below is something rapidly growing in my tank. It has tripled in size since I've gotten my live rock. The guy that I bought the LR from had an anemone, so I'm guessing that what is growing is an anemone, however, I could be wrong. A guy that came to buy my 55g the other day said that it was an anemone, and Matt from Healthy Pet said it was a small stony? so I really don't know, but whatever it is it's growing rapidly in the low light conditions that I have right now, and I can only imagine how fast it's going to grow when I get my new setup. By the way i'm going to be selling my entire setup and I'm buying a 34g Solana with the HQI pendant.

Looks like a ball tip anemone me. Fairly harmless I think. I've had/have them in my tank with no issues.

You're gonna love the halide.

Is that the really fine petco sand? If so you may want to consider switching aragonite mix. I found that fine white stuff to blow around constantly. Might become an issue when you switch to the solana and have a shallower setup with more flow around the sand bed.

After much research I believe to have found out what the anemone looking this is. It's a Corallimorph? I could be wrong, but everything I've found on them matches what's in my tank. The orange tipped ones look so friggin cool!!!

Corallimorphs are mushrooms from what I understand.

Is it something like this?

Or one of these?

Well, that would make sense, considering that psueudocorynactis is from the Caribbean, just like his little stony coral and his urchin.
