Hello All,

I've been reading posts on here for about a month now. I've returned to saltwater after being away for almost two decades-when I was a kid and really had no idea what I was doing.
As an adult I'll try to tackle this hobby with a little more information on my side. From reading on here I've already learned two early mistakes. I bought a fluval filter instead of a protein skimmer and I bought new equipment instead of peoples extra equipment in the for-sale section. Well it's been two months and I'll post where I was, and where I am now. My casualties of war include two cleaner shrimp and some yellow polyps-RIP.

This is what happens when you bother your feather duster. I tried to ease him back into his tube but he wasn't having it. So I shoved his naked body into a crack in my live rock and nearly two months later he's doing great. It appears he has a new tube. Don't give up on your worm if this happens.

 Welcome

Looks great so far Kevin. Where you located? Is that a killer Aiptasia that I see? And some RPE's?

I'm located in Troy next to HVCC. I picked up the zoa frag at healthy pet center (which is such a great quality store).  I've been trying to figure out the anenome hitchikers I have in my tank. I read many posts of the
dreaded apistia but cannot find any decent pics to figure out if thats what I have. I love the big one I have pictured and feed it cooked shrimp several times a week. I think at this point I'd keep him even if he's a bad guy. I've got a couple peppermint shrimp in the tank so I'm not seeing any explosion of little anenomes. I'll take some pics of the other anenome hitchikers for ID.

Welcome Aboard! I remember being a noob and staring into an Exotic Fish tank filled chalk a block with aptasia and loving them all.
