A great many threats face reef environments.  An informed marine aquarist can be part of the solution, not a contributor to the problem.

Benny, I got this piece from Chris.  It's a Jason Fox Psamicora.  Where did you get your piece?

If I had to guess I think what you have is a Pavona, a cactus coral.

Here's a video that I recently took of my tank.

Nice video Mark. Good to see your tank, and I really like your powder blue and copperband.

My tank is getting over run by Xenia.  I like Xenia, but now at plague proportions I get everyones reservations.  I have been trimming it back, however it is affecting my SPS now.

I think I will order some new rock and let it cycle for a few months.  I'd like to frag all my SPS and mount them on new rock, but I'm afraid of the stress it might cause.  I'm thinking of buying a new tank in the next year but I'm not sure if I should go bigger or downsize.  Downsizing would make more sense, but going bigger makes for a nice display.  Picking up what I need throughout the year before swapping out tanks would make it easier to pay for.

I'm wondering if this site might be winding down soon and this might be one of my last updates.  There isn't much activity here anymore and now with the photobucket dilemma things aren't looking too good.

If the site goes dark in the future I hope to keep in touch with our members on Facebook.  We do have a page there and if anything happens to that another one can be started easy enough.  It's always nice to hear about the progress of everyone's tanks and their passion for this hobby.

You can through some rubble in there and trade the frags to AC for credit...that's some consolation
